Red Flags When Buying Exosomes: How to Vet a Supplier

← Back to Research Library

The exosome market varies widely in quality and honesty. Knowing the warning signs protects both your practice and your patients. Educational use only.

Red flags to watch for

  • Disease-treatment claims. Exosomes are not FDA-approved to treat any condition; a supplier implying cures is a warning sign.
  • “FDA-approved” language. Facility registration is not product approval — see our explainer on RUO and FDA status.
  • No per-lot Certificate of Analysis. Quality should be documented, not asserted.
  • No characterization data (particle size, concentration, sterility, endotoxin).
  • Unclear sourcing or no cold-chain handling.
